The race for mayor has taken an unexpected turn as two prominent candidates, Demmy Jackson and Danielle Delaunay, emerge as the clear frontrunners. With recent developments shaking up the field, the competition has intensified, drawing heightened public interest.

Among the notable shifts, candidates Rollo Dane and Stav have officially dropped out of the race. Little is known about Rollo, though sources indicate she was disqualified due to reasons that remain undisclosed. However, speculation suggests it may be related to residency requirements. Stav’s withdrawal has yet to be fully explained, but it further clears the field for the leading contenders.

As the race narrows, we reached out to other potential candidates to gain further insight into their platforms and visions for the city. Jessy, a local real estate agent, declined our request for an interview, while Gypsy Queen failed to respond to multiple attempts to establish contact.

Since our initial coverage, two new candidates have entered the race—Tosh and Cobra. Have officially thrown their hats in the ring, adding new dynamics to the already intense competition. Notably, when our candidate questionnaire was sent out, neither had yet announced their candidacy, leaving their platforms and policy positions largely unknown for now.

This leaves Jackson and Delaunay at the center of the political arena, each vying for voter support. Demmy Jackson, known for her grassroots efforts and strong community engagement, has positioned herself as a champion of the working class, advocating for economic revitalization and public safety reforms. Meanwhile, Danielle Delaunay has built her campaign on promises of progressive urban development, infrastructure improvements, and social equity initiatives.

With Election Day approaching, the rivalry between these two candidates is expected to intensify. The city is watching closely, and as the debates continue, voters will have to decide which vision aligns best with their hopes for the future.
